Silky Hummus (Gluten, Yeast, Dairy FREE)

Did you know that people who regularly eat hummus tend to have smaller waists and healthier diets overall according to a new study in the Journal of Nutrition & Food Sciences found!
But why is hummus such a super food? For a start it is loaded with slow-digesting carbs, belly-filling fibre, and protein to help you stay satisfied longer! Now that's what I call a perfect snack. If you haven't got time to make hummus then look for one mades with olive oil instead of a cheap substitute. I prefer Marks & Spencer as the sugar content is low too. Really you can make hummus in no time at all so why not try this yummy silky hummus recipe and serve it with celery or carrots sticks, mid morning, afternoon or evening:-)
Serves: 
8-10
Ingredients: 
1 can chickpeas
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 crushed garlic cloves
1 tsp ground cumin
pinch of salt
100 ml tahini
4 tbsp water
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp paprika
Method: 
1. Drain chickpeas and rinse, keeping a few over for serving
2. In a food processor combine chickpeas, lemon juice, garlic, cumin, salt, tahini and water and blend until a creamy puree. Taste and adjust seasonings if desired
3. Add to a serving bowl and drizzle with olive oil and scatter on the reserved chickpeas
4. Sprinkle with paprika and serve
5. Enjoy
